Today's Horoscope This week This month
Capricorn horoscope for October 2022
Because the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of October in your career sector, the solar spotlight is always on your career and professional situation, matters and options at this time of year but not with the kind of firepower that is also on display on the income and job fronts. This is the second time in as many years that the Sun has returned to find Saturn in your income sector, but it is also the last for another three decades. At the same time, while it is rare to have planetary activity in your work sector at this time of year, as you move into the new month Mars has been here for six weeks.
While it has been 15 years since the Sun last returned to your career sector to find Mars in your work sector, normally here for six weeks he should be just a few hours or at most days away from leaving. Instead, Mars is slowing down ahead of a retrograde turn on 31st October that will not only keep him here until March 2023 and throughout the remainder of Saturn's time in your income sector but in what is set to become his longest visit in eight decades. As the Sun and the faster planets return to your career sector this will have a major impact across the income, work and career fronts, bringing you to a major turning point in this professional year.
However, life doesn't have to become all work and no play for while Mercury will leave a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart on 11th October, the dwarf planet Ceres is in the first full month of her first visit in four years and won't leave until December. At the same time, Pluto's direct turn on 9th October will bring the spirit of adventure out of hibernation. Meanwhile, a Full Moon in your home and family sector on 10th October that will always put your work/life balance to the test at this time of year will have an especially important role to play.
Love & RomanceWhile it is business as usual on both the romantic and relationship fronts and a fairly low key month for both, the conditions surrounding both are positive and there is every reason for confidence. By the time you move into the new month, it has been six weeks since Mars left your romantic sector and with Uranus in retrograde motion here for the rest of the year and the North Node maintaining a sense of direction, it has been easier to keep his romantic passions and fighting spirit alive. A lot of this is thanks to the planetary activity in an adventurous part of your chart including Venus, with the planet of love having just left last month.
That support will continue even after Mercury leaves on 11th October, with the dwarf planet Ceres spending her first full month in an adventurous part of your chart where she is helping to keep the spirit of romance and adventure alive. However, while there is not a lot of change on the romantic front there is stability and confidence, something that the Moon will tap into when it moves through your romantic sector from 11th October to 13th October. This will tap into and amplify a mix of romance, adventure and nostalgia.
Meanwhile, with no planetary activity in your relationship sector, the Moon's return from 16th October to 18th October makes these the most pivotal days of the month. As well as a chance to check in and become more emotionally engaged, the Moon will form a friendly aspect to both planets in your communication sector as it moves through, making it easier to give your emotional responses and relationships a voice. It is just 10 days after the Moon leaves that Jupiter will retrograde back into your communication sector and will be there when it comes full circle next month.
Business & CareerBecause the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of October in your career sector, the solar spotlight is always on your career and professional situation, matters and options at this time of year. There are no major developments on the career front this year, making this more the boost that career matters get at this time each year but two factors elevate this above the norm and that could have big implications. The first is Mercury, who returned in August to begin the first planetary activity on the career front for the year and to begin what is normally a 14 to 15 day chance to get your head in the game and around your options.
With the Sun still over a month away at that point, a retrograde phase not only forced Mercury to wait but saw him retrograde back out four weeks after returning and just hours after the solar spotlight shifted onto your career and professional situation, matters and options for the first time this year. As you move into the new month Mercury is gone and the Sun and Venus are here in his place, though already benefiting from the weeks that he has spent here. It is a direct turn on 2nd October that will see Mercury make a U turn, returning for a second visit from 11th October to 30th October.
With the Sun and Venus both leaving on 23rd October, this will keep things open and active on the career front through to the end of the month. The second factor is that for the first time in 15 years, the Sun and faster planets have returned to find Mars in your work sector. By the time you move into the new month Mars has been here for six weeks, which is the length of a typical visit. Instead, just like Mercury, the warrior planet of the cosmos is not making a typical visit and instead, a retrograde turn on 31st October will keep him here for the rest of the year and through to March 2023. Along with Saturn in your income sector, what should be an ordinary month is instead hosting some extraordinary and even game changing developments across the income, work and career fronts.
MoneyEven before Saturn turns direct in your income sector on 23rd October there will be a sense that something has shifted. That something is a combination of a drop in tension and a rise in support, something that has conveniently happened in tandem. Since his return to your income sector in 2020 the middle months of each year have been challenging for Saturn, for that is when the Sun and the faster moving planets move through your financial sector and into opposition. This is a time of year when the focus is more on what you do with and how you manage the money you have and when Saturn is in retrograde motion.
Not only does this sideline income matters, but as each planet passes through, they will move into opposition, creating periods of financial tension. The last of those planets only left on 29th September but as well as leaving you with a better sense of your financial needs and priorities there is a better appreciation of the balance between money coming in and money going out. As you move into the new month Saturn is now the only planet in either of your two money houses and the money gods have shifted all their attention back onto the income side of the financial fence and with perfect timing.
The Sun will always spend the first three weeks of October in your work sector but with Venus, the planet of money here until 23rd October and Mars in your work sector all month, this is the perfect time for a comeback. Until turning direct Saturn will be making the most of his final weeks in retrograde motion in your income sector for another three decades, with a chance to both learn from and exploit the past. It is the Moon's return from 4th October to 6th October that could have lucrative implications. It is once Saturn turns direct that it will be time to look to and build for the future, as he works in tandem with Mars in your work sector through to March 2023.
