Taurus

Apr 20 - May 20

Today's Horoscope This week This month

Taurus horoscope for April 2024

Because the Sun will always return to Taurus to begin your birthday month and new solar year on 20th April, but until then will spend the first three weeks of April in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart, this is always a month where at some point the lines between the past, present and future will overlap. However, not to the degree that it does this year. It was Jupiter's return to Taurus in May 2023 that brought you to the start of a new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion, but it is only now, as he moves into his last full month here that major new doors are opening. Due to leave later next month, Jupiter is helping to open new pathways and expand opportunities across all aspects of your life.

Jupiter is also growing closer to an alignment with Uranus, who has been in Taurus since 2019, with their one and only alignment peaking from 18th April to 22nd April. Jupiter is the planet of luck and expansion and Uranus is the planet of surprise, synchronicity and the unexpected and together this once in a lifetime event speaks to endless possibilities. As luck should have it, it is just as Jupiter and Uranus are aligned that the Sun will return to Taurus on 20th April to begin your birthday month and new solar year, getting things off to an auspicious start.

Yet until then, the month long wind down of your old solar year not only has you looking to the past, but moving through a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart Venus will be taking your heart on a nostalgic trip down memory lane from 5th April to 29th April. At the same time, Mercury will not only spend the whole month there but from 2nd April to 26th April he will be in retrograde motion, shifting even more of your mental focus onto the past. Helping to keep you anchored in the present will be Mars, who will spend the whole of April in your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking. Mars will keep you connected while also helping you to get the most out of a Full Moon in your relationship sector on 24th April.

Love & Romance

Both the love and relationship gods are dialling up something special this month, though on the relationship front for just a few special days. There is no planetary activity in your relationship sector, which makes the Moon's monthly visits all the more important. The Moon returns every four weeks and this is always a valuable chance to check in and become more emotionally engaged. The Moon will return to your relationship sector from 24th April to 26th April, making these the most important days of the month for making your relationships a priority and for being willing to show up and pay attention.

While the Moon returns every four weeks, what makes this visit significant is that with the Sun on the other side of the sky in Taurus by then, it will return as a Full Moon. As well as evoking much stronger emotional responses, as the Sun and Moon clash this can stress test a balance between your personal and relationship needs. Halfway between the Sun's last visit to your relationship sector and the next and just as you are moving into a new solar year, being aware of your needs on both fronts and especially when it comes to a balance between the two, couldn't be more important. With this comes an opportunity for a reset.

Meanwhile, the romantic influence is less concentrated and more widespread, with a sense of romantic nostalgia the dominant theme. Not only is the asteroid Juno, the queen of commitment in retrograde motion in your romantic sector until 22nd April but Venus, the planet of love will move through a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart from 5th April to 29th April. It is during Juno's final weeks in retrograde motion and while she is already holding the doors open to the past and second chances, that Venus will return to take your heart on a nostalgic trip down memory lane that will end with her return to Taurus. The Moon's visit to your romantic sector from 19th April to 21st April will be a chance to fully capture this.

Business & Career

The professional gods packed a lot into the final eight days of March. So much so that as you move into the new month the dust is still settling and you are still processing things. It began with Mars' departure from your career sector, with the warrior planet of the cosmos wrapping up his first visit in two years and his first encounter with Pluto, the planet of change and transformation here in over 200 years. While the Sun, Mercury and Venus had done the same when they moved through, having the planets of war and revolution together has fired things up in a way that you are yet to fully appreciate. It was just two days after Mars left that the Moon not only returned to your work sector but as an eclipsing Full Moon.

It wasn't until the final days of March and over Easter weekend that you had a chance to catch your breath. This is the first time since Pluto returned with the Sun in January that there is a chance to take your foot off the gas while at the same time, what has been triggered by the eclipsing Full Moon will see what this might have set in motion on the job front take at least until when the Moon returns to your work sector from 21st April to 24th April to fully play out. It is having the South Node in your work sector that turned an ordinary Full Moon into a lunar eclipse and as it is here all year, this can keep the momentum going.

Some of the most important days of the month and especially when it comes to getting your professional bearings, is when the Moon moves through your career sector from 3rd April to 5th April. This will be the Moon's first visit since Mars left and since Pluto has been on his own, something that has seen this professional year shift gear to where you are now running a marathon rather than a sprint. Where the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars have all recently passed through your career sector, with Pluto here now into 2044, he is here to stay. The push to get this professional year up to speed is over and while Pluto's quest for change is just getting started, it will now take as long as it takes.

Money

With no planetary activity in either of your two money houses, as has been the case since Venus, Mercury and Mars all left your financial sector in January and the dwarf planet Ceres in early February, the Moon's visits to both are going to be an important chance to check in. While that is always the case, on one side this will be especially important, for this is when you are likely to start picking up on a sense of anticipation but also of change in the air. The month begins with the Moon in your financial sector but leaving on 1st April, but this is more a chance to catch the tail end of a visit late last month.

Either way, this allows you to move into the new month with your financial instincts and imagination fuelled while feeling emotionally and intuitively engaged from the start. It is four weeks later that the Moon will return for its next visit, moving through again from 26th April to 28th April. With no planetary activity on this side of the financial fence until later in the year, this will be a valuable chance to check in on money matters. This is the side of the financial fence where it is more about what you do with and how you manage the money you have. As Venus and Mars, the planets of money and passion were both here when you moved into the New Year, this is a chance to revisit the financial resolutions that you began the year with.

It is on the other side of the financial fence that you will get a chance to pick up on a sense of the anticipation and of change in the air, when the Moon moves through your income sector from 12th April to 14th April. This is an ordinary monthly visit, that every four weeks can sharpen your nose for money and act as a trigger. This will also fine tune your over the horizon radar and that is when you will start to pick up on the big changes next month. While Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion won't return to your income sector until 26th May, as this will begin your biggest year for income growth and expansion in over a decade, this will put this giant planet on your radar.

Health

While by the time you move into the new month, it has been seven days since an eclipsing Full Moon in your health sector, its influence is not only still being felt but some of the same conditions could resurface again a day either side and on the day of a total solar eclipse on 8th April. That is because it is the lunar nodes that are turning an ordinary Full and New Moon into eclipses and as they are policing a need for a healthy balance, this is going to bring anything that is out of balance to a head as they do, they also bring a chance to get things back in balance. By the time the Moon returns to your health sector from 21st April to 24th April, you will have had time to process this.
