Oct 23 - Nov 21
Today's Horoscope This week This month
Scorpio horoscope for October 2022
For you, October is always the month when the past, present and future come together, making this a month of endings but also of new beginnings. That is because the Sun will not only always spend the first three weeks of October in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart, but this brings you to the final weeks of your old solar year. This is a time for reflection, for looking back on the journey the year has taken you on but when there is also a call to slow down, making the most of a chance to recharge your batteries before the Sun returns to Scorpio on 23rd October to begin your birthday month and new solar year.
This year the Sun and Venus are incredibly close, more than they have been in several years and this will put even more weight on the two halves of this month. When Venus moves through a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart she takes your heart on a nostalgic trip down memory lane but also makes this something that you are drawn to and not just because it is that time of year. At the same time, when she returns to Scorpio each year your heart will want to move on, less interested in where you have been and more on the path ahead.
Last year Venus had been and gone from Scorpio by the time your birthday month even began and the year before, your birthday month was over before she returned. This year they not only begin the month in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart but will return to Scorpio within hours of each other on 23rd October. Because the South Node is in Scorpio and has been since January, the New Moon here on 25th October will be a solar eclipse and with it a chance for a major reset. It is just three days later that Jupiter will retrograde back out of your work sector and back into a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart, where the planet of luck and expansion has some unfinished business.
Love & RomanceThere is change in the air and especially on the romantic front this month, though to start with this is something that you or at least your heart's over the horizon radar is sensing rather than anything tangible. To start with, while you have the asteroid Juno and dreamy Neptune in retrograde motion in your romantic sector, as they have been for several months now, the focus is more on your relationships. Less because of anything happening on the relationship front and more because of the support that the planets are getting and especially on the communication front and when it comes to friendship and relationship building.
While there is reason for confidence on the relationship front, with Uranus in retrograde motion here for the rest of the year there will not be a lot of change. It is on the romantic front that something is brewing, though to start with this will be felt as an increase in a sense of romantic nostalgia. You not only have Juno and Neptune in retrograde motion in your romantic sector but Venus, the planet of love in a nostalgic part of your chart, with a nostalgic trip down love's memory lane still in its early days as you move into the new month.
Even the Moon's return to your romantic sector from 7th October to 9th October will see these romantically charged lunar vibes amplify this. However, change is in the air and this will begin to manifest when Venus, the planet of love not only returns to Scorpio on 23rd October but just hours ahead of the Sun and the start of your birthday month and new solar year. With Juno turning direct a day later but Neptune remaining in retrograde motion, the love gods will have the past, present and future covered. However, the real change comes a few days later when Jupiter retrogrades back into your romantic sector on 28th October, opening the doors even wider to the past and second chances.
Business & CareerIt was on 29th September, less than 48 hours before moving into the new month that the dwarf planet Ceres not only left your work sector but wrapped up all planetary activity on the job front for the year. This brought to a close what had begun over two months earlier with Mercury's return to your work sector, with his short visit kicking off the first and only planetary activity on the job front this year. In that time the Sun, Mercury and Venus moved through but it was the dwarf planet Ceres who stayed on to tie up loose ends and this could have ongoing implications.
Unlike the Sun and the other planets that have recently moved through your work sector, Ceres is less focused on work and job matters themselves and more on what was her last deep dive into your needs and priorities on the job front for another four years. This has been more about job satisfaction and a sense of purpose, something that will stay with you and remain your guiding light. The Moon will make its first visit since Ceres ended all planetary activity on the job front from 9th October to 11th October. As well as giving you an intuitive read on work and job matters and a chance to check in, the Moon can act as a trigger.
The Moon will return every four weeks and this will be key to keeping work and job matters on track but in the meantime, the professional gods have shifted all their resources onto Jupiter's final weeks in your career sector before retrograding back out on 28th October. The planet of luck and expansion won't be gone for long but when he returns just before Christmas he will be back in direct motion and will be both looking to and building for the future. In these final weeks in retrograde motion the focus is more on the past, second chances and untapped professional potential. You will get a better read on this when the Moon moves through your career sector from 18th October to 21st October.
MoneyWhen Mars returned to your financial sector in August it was to begin his first visit in two years, with the warrior planet of the cosmos returning to fire up your financial passions and fighting spirit and with it a chance to take your financial power back. Mars is a fighter, so from the start he would have been looking for something to fight for but usually, as he is only here for six weeks and then not returning for another two years, he will go after low hanging fruit while leaving the follow through for you. As we move into October it has been exactly six weeks since Mars' return, so he should be leaving any day if not any hour.
Instead, Mars is slowing down ahead of a retrograde turn on 31st October that will not only keep the warrior planet of the cosmos here for the rest of the month or the rest of the year but through to March 2023. Mars returns to your financial sector every 22 months on average, but it has been eight decades since he last spent this long here. That is more than enough time to not just go after the low hanging fruit or even for fruit higher on the vine to ripen but to plant your own orchard. This allows you to begin financial quests, wage battles or begin a financial strategy that can happen over time.
The Moon will return from 13th October to 15th October, something that is both a chance to check in and become more emotionally and intuitively engaged. As well as sharpening your financial instincts the Moon can add fuel to Mars' financial passions and fighting spirit, giving you a better sense of what you are fighting for. Meanwhile, with no planetary activity on the income side of the financial fence, starting the month with the Moon in your income sector until next month is an advantage. Until leaving on 2nd October will sharpen your nose for money and act as a trigger, before returning to do it again from 27th October to 29th October.
