Sept 23 - Oct 22
Today's Horoscope This week This month
Libra horoscope for October 2022
Whether you are a September or an October born Libran, this is your birthday month, with the Sun back to where it was in the heavens when you were born until 23rd October. This is the start of a new solar year and with it a chance to embrace the future and the journey ahead. With the Sun back in Libra, you also have a chance to reconnect with your personal truth. A New Moon just two days into your birthday month has already given you an opportunity for a fresh start while Mercury, who had left just a few hours after the Sun's return will be back for a second visit from 11th October to 30th October.
While your birthday month comes around at this time each year, the cosmic conditions are never the same and this year, there is a lot to be excited about. Two of the biggest factors in getting the year off to a good start are Mars and Saturn, both in fellow Air ruled signs and both taking the focus away from the busy side of life's fence. Mars is slowing down ahead of a retrograde turn that will keep him in your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery for the next six months, just as Saturn is moving into his final six months in a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart.
Yet this is also an especially good month on the income and job fronts and especially in the latter part of the month. It begins with the Sun and Venus' return to your income sector on 23rd October, kicking off what can be the most lucrative weeks of 2022. This will get a boost from an eclipsing New Moon here just two days later on 25th October but then another massive boost when Jupiter retrogrades back into your work sector on 28th October, nearly five months after leaving. Where you're going a balance between work and play is a given.
Love & RomanceChange is in the air on the romantic and relationship fronts and in both cases, this is anything but subtle or insignificant. As we move into the new month Saturn is not only in his final weeks in your romantic sector for the year but for another three decades. Since his return in 2020, Saturn has spent the middle months of each year in retrograde motion, turning his considerable focus onto the past. However, when Saturn turns direct on 23rd October he will move into his final phase and until leaving in March, not to return again for another three decades, there will be no turning back.
The Moon will move through your romantic sector from 4th October to 7th October and while this is a monthly event, it will be the last while Saturn is in retrograde motion here for another three decades. This makes these romantically charged lunar vibes a window into where Saturn is drawing your attention. This will also put the Moon at a friendly aspect to Mars in an adventurous part of your chart and to both the Sun and Venus, the planet of love in Libra as it moves through, bringing together a potent mix of romance, adventure and nostalgia.
While having the Sun and Venus in Libra until 23rd October and Mercury, the planet of communication from 11th October to 30th October is good news for Saturn and matters of the heart, with all three forming a friendly aspect at some stage, this can put some pressure on your relationships. At the same time that all three will form a friendly aspect to Saturn in your romantic sector as they move through Libra, they will also clash with all three planets in your relationship sector as they move through. As will be the case with a Full Moon on 10th October this will put a balance between your personal and relationship needs to the test. However, with Jupiter retrograding back out of your relationship sector on 28th October, this is key to understanding what you want from your relationships and what they need from you.
Business & CareerAcross the income, work and career fronts it is business as usual to begin with but there could be a sense of anticipation in the air or a sense that things are about to change. There will be no changes on the career front, with all this year's planetary activity having ended when Venus left your career sector in August. This was later than is usually the case, due to the fact that after starting the year in retrograde motion Venus was still running behind schedule. This not only kept things open a few weeks longer than is normally the case but gave your heart the last say.
Apart from the Moon's monthly visits, there will be no more planetary activity on the career front, where the focus is more on the direction a professional year will take than the detail until Mars returns in March. This puts the focus back onto the income and job fronts and where, on both fronts, things are about to become a lot more interesting, starting with the Sun and Venus' return to your income sector on 23rd October. Before then, the Moon will move through your work sector from 7th October to 9th October and through your career sector from 16th October to 18th October.
In both cases, this will be a chance to check in but it is the Moon's return to your career sector that will bring things together across the income, work and career fronts. It is when the Sun and Venus return to your income sector that this will not only begin the most potentially lucrative weeks of 2022 but they will draw on and provide support for the asteroid Juno and Neptune in your work sector. However, it is just five days later and nearly five months after leaving that Jupiter will retrograde back into your work sector on 28th October, bringing the planets of luck and dreams together again here for the last time in our lifetime. This begins what will be the most defining two months of the year on the income and job fronts.
MoneyUntil now, while the lunar nodes have been working since January to maintain a balance between money coming in and money going out, with the only planetary activity being Uranus in your financial sector, this is where the main focus has been. While the Sun left your financial sector in April, taking the solar spotlight on your financial situation and money matters, as it does at the same time each year, it wasn't until Mars left in August that things dialled back. With Uranus in retrograde motion for the rest of the year, while money matters have received a boost, it is now more about the journey.
It is time for the money gods to put some much needed resources onto the income side of the financial fence, which they will finally do on 23rd October. This will be no gradual deployment of resources, with Venus returning to your income sector to begin the first planetary activity on this side of the financial fence for the year just a few hours before the Sun returns on the same day. Last year Venus had been and gone by the time the Sun returned and the year before the Sun had been and gone by the time the planet of money returned. This year they are in sync, with the solar spotlight shifting onto your income situation, matters and options just as what can be the most lucrative weeks of any year begin.
It is just two days later that the Moon will return for what should be an ordinary monthly visit, one that can sharpen your nose for money and act as a trigger from 25th October to 27th October. Instead, as the Sun and the South Node meet up here for the first time in 17 years, this will create a solar eclipse that can act as a major trigger, just four days into what can be the most lucrative weeks of any year. What makes the timing significant is that this is just days before Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion will retrograde back into your work sector on 28th October.
