Today's Horoscope This week This month
Aries horoscope for October 2022
The things that could make this month challenging are also the things that make this an empowering month, with any short term challenges a chance to gain a lot and that includes both personally and professionally. The challenge comes from the fact that just as the Sun and the faster planets have returned to your relationship sector, as they do at this time of year, Jupiter is in his final weeks in Aries and on his way to retrograding back out on 28th October. As the planets return to your relationship sector they will clash with Jupiter, something that could put a balance between your personal and relationship needs to the test.
Yet by waking you up to those needs this not only gives you a better sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you but both you and they are empowered. What will be especially empowering is a Full Moon in Aries on 10th October, bringing you to the halfway point in this current solar year and with it a chance for a reset. The Sun and Venus are in your relationship sector until 23rd October and Mercury, who retrograded back out last month will return again from 11th October to 30th October, where as the planet of communication he can keep the communication lines open. As the planets leave your relationship sector they will return to your financial sector, turning the solar spotlight onto your financial situation and money matters.
This also sets the scene for a solar eclipse on 25th October, something that can give money matters a shot in the arm. In the meantime, the month not only gets off to a good start across the income, work and career fronts but for a few days with planets in retrograde motion in all three. That starts to change with Mercury's direct turn in your work sector on 2nd October, followed by Pluto's direct turn in your career sector a week later on 9th October. This will give things the green light professionally while Uranus will remain in retrograde motion in your income sector for the rest of the year, holding the doors open to the past, second chances and untapped income potential.
Love & RomanceBecause the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of October in your relationship sector, the solar spotlight is always on your relationships at this time of year. However, this year you have the advantage of Mercury, the planet of communication having already spent four weeks here when the Sun returns. That is quite a feat considering Mercury will normally rush through in 14 to 15 days, giving you barely enough time to give communication the briefest amount of attention. That was not the case this year, due to a retrograde phase that not only kept Mercury here but will see him return for a second visit on 11th October.
It was a retrograde turn last month that not only kept Mercury here but two of the four weeks already spent here were in retrograde motion, giving the planet of communication a chance to focus more on giving the past and unsaid words a voice. With Jupiter in Aries for the first time in 12 years, there is a lot more focus on a balance between your personal and relationship needs, making that extra communication support invaluable. Mercury is back from 11th October to 30th October, once again on hand to keep the communication lines open.
In addition, you not only have Mars in your communication sector all month but his retrograde turn on 31st October, a day after Mercury leaves your relationship sector will continue what the planet of communication started in terms of keeping old lines of communication open. The Sun will keep the solar spotlight on your relationships until he leaves on 23rd October with Venus, who begins the month in your relationship sector leaving on the same day. Mercury's departure will end all planetary activity on the relationship front but the support from the communication gods will continue.
Business & CareerWhile the Sun and Venus both left your work sector late last month, it is not so much that Mercury is still here and more that he has nipped back in to finish what he began nearly two months ago. Mercury was the first planet to reach your work sector this year, returning in August for what should have been a 14 to 15 day visit aimed at giving you the intellectually savvy and articulate edge needed to work smarter, get your head in the game, ideas on the table and the communication lines open. While he began slowing down shortly after he returned, Mercury did leave and had been gone for four weeks by the time he retrograded back in for a double dip visit.
Mercury returned just hours after the Sun left on 23rd September, so was here during Venus' final days and when the dwarf planet Ceres returned on 29th September to begin her first deep dive into your needs and priorities on the job front in four years. This is where things stand at the start of the month, with Ceres still in her early days and Mercury still in retrograde motion. With Pluto in retrograde motion in your career sector until 9th October and Uranus in retrograde motion in your income sector all month, this means that as you move into the new month there are planets in retrograde motion, with the doors open to the past, second chances and untapped potential across the income, work and career fronts.
Mercury will turn direct on 2nd October and with Pluto turning direct in your career sector seven days later, this is when things will start moving forward. The Moon's return to your career sector from 2nd October to 4th October will both sharpen your professional instincts but also tap into the solidarity between planets across the income, work and career fronts, getting the new month off to a good start. Mercury will leave your work sector on 11th October but with Ceres here now until December, working closely with Pluto on the career and Uranus on the income front throughout that time. This is not only a good month professionally but the gateway to a confident end to this professional year.
MoneyWhile it is business as usual on both sides of the financial fence for the first part of the month, the pendulum is preparing to swing from one side to the other or at least become a lot more balanced. Since their return to your two money houses in January and until they leave in July 2023, the lunar nodes are working to maintain a balance between money coming in and money going out while also having their own mandate. For the North Node in your income sector its focus is always on the future and on maintaining a lucrative sense of direction while for the South Node in your financial sector, the focus is more on the past and a better understanding of where you have been.
While the lunar nodes have worked to keep things balanced, with Uranus in your income sector but no planets in your financial sector, there has been more weight on the income side of the financial fence. This has been good news for income potential and especially with continuing planetary activity in your work sector and Pluto turning direct in your career sector on 9th October. However, as the lunar nodes are working to maintain the right balance, this hasn't been possible but that is about to change and fairly suddenly.
In one fell swoop the Sun and Venus, the planet of money will both return to your financial sector on 23rd October, beginning the first planetary activity on this side of the financial fence this year. With Uranus still in your income sector but in retrograde motion so therefore not competing with a new focus on money matters, this is finally a chance to achieve the right balance. At the same time, because the lunar nodes are in your two money houses this means we have reached eclipse season, starting with a solar eclipse in your financial sector on 27th October and then followed by a total lunar eclipse in your income sector two weeks later. This is going to energise both sides of the financial fence.
