Sept 23 - Oct 22
Today's Horoscope This week This month
Libra horoscope for February 2024
This is the point in the year when things are starting to get interesting and also a lot more diverse, with a need to make a balance between work and play a priority from the start. To begin with, this shouldn't be a challenge, though as the month progresses and as both sides of life's fence become more empowered this will become more of a challenge. This makes it important to make this a priority from the start and while it is still relatively easy to create some good habits. What is putting a balance between work and play in the spotlight is not that you have Saturn and Neptune in your work sector, for they have been together here since last March. Instead, the difference is what is happening on the playful and creative side of life's fence.
As you move into the new month the Sun has been in a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart for 10 days and while this is where he will always spend the first three weeks of February, the difference this year is that he has brought Pluto, the planet of change and transformation with him. Pluto returned for a few months last year, but after the Sun and the other planets had moved through and he didn't venture beyond the doorstep. This year Pluto is all in and as he won't leave until 2044, he is here to create lifetime change. It is when Mars returns on 13th February that the planets of war and revolution will come together for the first time here in our lifetime and top of their agenda will be to wage war on a balance between work and play.
Just in time, for it is on 19th February that the Sun will join Saturn and Neptune in your work sector, with Mercury joining them on 23rd February. This is the point when the planets that have been on idle on the job front since the middle of last year will be swept up in the wave of forward momentum that the faster planets can create and especially when Mars returns next month to fire things up even more. By the end of the month, there will be some real competition between the two sides of life's fence, making it important to make a need for balance a priority from the start. Especially as this is also an important month on the home and family front and for your relationships.
Love & RomanceThe month begins with the Sun and Pluto still on their own and still settling into their early days in your romantic sector. While the Sun will already return at the same time each year and the solar spotlight will always be on matters of the heart during the majority of the first three weeks of February having Pluto, planet of change and transformation here is a game changer. While Pluto did spend a few months here in 2023, it was after the Sun and the faster planets had moved through and as he turned retrograde shortly after arriving, he never ventured past the doorstep. This was more a chance to get a sense of the changes that would come in 2024.
That time has come and apart from a short 11 week break later in the year, Pluto is here now until 2044. As you move into the new month this is something you are still adjusting to and some of the most romantically charged months of the year are still in front of you. Things will become more real or active when Mercury returns on 5th February to begin his short 18 day mission to give your heart a voice and to put heart and mind on the same page. This is in preparation for Marsââ¬â¢ return on 13th February and Venusââ¬â¢ return on 17th February. It is two days before the Sun leaves on 19th February that the planets of love and passion will come together to kick off the most romantically charged months of 2024.
Before then, the Moon will make its first visit to your romantic sector since the Sun and Plutoââ¬â¢s return from 9th February to 11th February, creating a New Moon here on 10th February that will bring an opportunity for new beginnings and to officially embrace this new romantic chapter. It is a few days later that the Moon will return for its monthly visit to your relationship sector, something that from 13th February to 15th February will be a chance to become more emotionally engaged. With both planets in your relationship sector now in direct motion, here too this is a chance to look to the future.
Business & CareerWhile things may have gotten off to a slow start on the job front so far this year, there has been reason for confidence from the start and a chance to benefit from an opportunity to find your feet and get your bearings before the pace picks up. While Neptune, the planet of dreams has been in your work sector since 2012 and Saturn, the hard taskmaster of the cosmos has been here since last March, for the first time in our lifetime you moved into the New Year with both here at the same time. With both not leaving until early 2026, this is the first full year of a nearly three year period that is giving you the resolve to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to turn dreams into reality on the job front.
However, with both having spent the majority of the second half of last year in retrograde motion and as January was the first month where both were back in direct motion, this has bought you time. By the time the Moon moves through your work sector from 11th February to 13th February Saturn and Neptune will still be on their own, but they will be starting to pick up speed while your instincts are likely to pick up on a sense of change in the air. It is just six days later and with your instincts still sharp that the Sun will return on 19th February. This is the point in each year when the solar spotlight will always shift onto your work situation and job matters, but this will also be a full circle moment.
The Sun was here when Saturn returned last month and has continued to have an influence in the time that it has taken the Sun to come full circle. It is just a few days later that Mercury will return on 23rd February with everything needed to work smarter, get your head in the game, ideas on the table and the communication lines open. Having the Moon move through your career sector from 19th February to 23rd February will ensure your professional instincts are sharp when things start to move on the job front. However, it is when Mars returns next month for his first visit in nearly two years that this will kick off the busiest months of the year. This makes it important to make the most of the relatively slow start to the month.
MoneyWhile the financial fence has become more one sided since Venus left your income sector in the closing days of 2023, having left less than 48 hours before you moved into the New Year and with the momentum from months of planetary activity, the Moonââ¬â¢s monthly visits are enough to keep things on track. It helps that the Moon will make two visits this month, with the second especially auspicious because of the timing. The Moon will make its first visit from 2nd February to 4th February and is something that every four weeks can sharpen your nose for money and act as a trigger.
As the Moon will form a friendly aspect to Saturn and Neptune in your work sector as it moves through, this will get the month off to a good start on the income and job fronts. By the time the Moon returns to do it again on 29th February work and job matters will have received an upgrade thanks to the Sunââ¬â¢s return to your work sector on 19th February and Mercuryââ¬â¢s return on 23rd February. However, for the rest of the month and even when the Moon is in your income sector, the main focus is on the other side of the financial fence, where Jupiter and Uranus are bringing a real chance to take your financial power back.
While Jupiter returned direct in your financial sector on New Yearââ¬â¢s Eve and was ready to resume his quest for financial growth and expansion from day one, with Uranus in retrograde motion the brakes were on. It was Uranusââ¬â¢ direct turn that has finally released the brakes holding money matters back, just five days before you moved into the new month. The Moon will make its first visit since Uranusââ¬â¢ direct turn from 15th February to 17th February. By then Uranus will have been in direct motion for three and Jupiter for seven weeks, with the Moon able to sharpen your financial instincts and act as a trigger to get things moving.
